The Menards Tuscany Farmhouse/Apron Front Sink
The Most Affordable Farmhouse Sink
When designing and dreaming up ideas for our kitchen I knew one thing was a must, a farmhouse kitchen sink! It’s so crisp and white and dreamy to look at in inspiration photos. However, when it came time to purchase one I realized that they are pricey! They can cost anywhere from $400-$1200. That was a problem, and I needed to find the most affordable farmhouse sink.
Enter the Tuscany Farmhouse/Apron Front White Ceramic Double Bowl Kitchen Sink priced at $199. On top of that it was in-stock at the store so all we had to do was pick it up on our next Menards run, which happens a few times per week.
We specifically needed a drop in (or top-mount) sink. Since we were installing laminate countertops, there was no option of an under-mount.
This white farmhouse sink fits a standard sink base so it is perfect for home renovations when you don’t want to go out and replace your sink cabinet with an apron cabinet. It also comes with a template to modify your current standard cabinet by tracing and cutting a new space to mount the sink.
After it is installed you support the sink with 2×4’s from underneath.
I love that, since this sink is not an under-mount like most farmhouse sinks, it is not too deep. Some sinks have you washing dishes way too low. But since you fabricate a standard sink cabinet, it’s lifted up higher. And the bowls are nice and wide.
One thing to note, the sink doesn’t go all the way to the back of the countertop. So there is space for water to collect behind the sink. It doesn’t bother me, I just wipe it down from time to time. I think is a beautiful spot to display my soap bottles!
We also purchased this faucet to finish off the design. It is a brushed gold color and adds a lot of character. We’ve had it for about two months now and I enjoy the spray nozzle that pulls down from the faucet the most. It power it has, has really helped make life easier to get the dishes sprayed off and into the dishwasher.
And finally, I purchased this pretty spring time frame decor from hobby lobby. I sits on the window sill and looks so cheery and elegant!
I hope this helps you, if you are looking for a new sink. I would definitely recommend this farmhouse apron sink we got on our Menards run!
Never stop dreaming,
Hailee
