Steak Sauce And Marinade Recipe
Make any cut of beef taste restaurant quality!
This steak marinade is SO good! It is a recipe from my mom that she has been using ever since I was a kid, and now I make it for my family!
I seriously thought that this marinade made the most delicious steak as a kid, that I didn’t order steak at a restaurant because it wasn’t as good. Restaurants didn’t have the same steak sauce my mom made and it just wasn’t worth eating, ha!
I have since expanded my tastes as an adult, but still, it is quite comical to remember.
The How To
First make up the steak marinade- dice an onion and set aside. In a small bowl, add the soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic powder, and ginger. Mix together thoroughly. And finally stir in the onions.
In a dish for marinating steaks, pour in half of the sauce. Add the steaks. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours, flipping them halfway through. Do not go past 8 hours, since the acidity in the marinade will break down the meat.
Next, grill the steaks until you have reached desired doneness. And now for the important part, add the other half of the steak marinade to a small pot on the stove. Bring to a low boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve in a small dish and spoon over the meat as a sauce!
Note* You can of course add mushrooms to this sauce! Just slice up one cup of mushrooms, and add to the sauce before simmering!
