Irresistible Muddy Buddies Recipe Using the Whole Box of Chex Mix

- 1 12 oz box Chex cereal
- 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Step 1: Prepare the ChexMixPour the entire box of Chex Mix into a large mixing bowl. Set aside.Tip: You can use a large brown paper shopping bag instead, add the chocolate mixture, and shake away! Finish by shaking on the powdered sugar coating. Rip open and lay flat at the end to dry and you don't need a baking sheet. Step 2: Melt theChocolate and Peanut ButterIn a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. This should take about 1-1.5 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract. Step 3: Coat the ChexMixPour the melted chocolate mixture over the Chex Mix. Gently stir with a spatula until all the Chex pieces are evenly coated with the chocolate mixture. Step 4: Add the PowderedSugarTransfer the chocolate-coated Chex Mix into a large resealable plastic bag. Add the powdered sugar. Seal the bag and shake vigorously until all the Chex pieces are well coated with the powdered sugar. Step 5: Cool and ServeSpread the Muddy Buddies out on a large baking sheet to cool and set. Once cooled, transfer to a serving bowl or store in an airtight container.
