Ingredients
4lbschicken wingsdrumettes and flats
1tspgarlic powder
1tsponion powder
1tspsmoked paprika
1tspbaking powder
1cupBBQ sauce
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep the Wings
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup. Then place a wire rack on top of the lined baking sheet.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for getting the crispy skin.
Place dry seasonings in a small bowl and mix together. Then, in a large bowl, toss the wings with the mixed garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and baking powder until evenly coated.
Step 2: Bake the Wings
Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the racks of the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for around 40 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even crispiness. Bake until the wings are golden brown and crispy on the outside. Check the inner temperature with a meat thermometer to make sure the chicken has reached 165℉ to avoid over cooking.
Step 3: Toss in BBQ Sauce
Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Pour the BBQ sauce over the wings and toss them gently to coat evenly.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy
Serve the wings hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side, and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces or sides like coleslaw or crispy fries!
