French Silk Pie
The classic Baker's Square copycat recipe!
Servings: 8 slices
- 1 cup salted butter
- 1½ cups sugar
- 2 oz ghiradeli unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1½ tsp vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 6 oz whipped topping or real whipped cream
- 1 deep dish frozen pie crust
Add room temperature butter and sugar to a large bowl. Cream them together at medium-high speed for 15-20 minutes until the sugar is not grainy.
Next, add the melted and cooled chocolate and vanilla. Mix to combine.
Then add eggs, 2 at a time. Beating 5 minutes after each addition.
Pour the mixture into pie crust. Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate chips, shaved chocolate or cocoa powder. Refrigerate overnight and enjoy!
