1cupsalted butter
1½cupssugar
2ozghiradeli unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1½tspvanilla
4eggs
6ozwhipped toppingor real whipped cream
1deep dish frozen pie crustgluten free option: use Mi-del pie crust or make your own from scratch
Instructions
Crust
Place frozen pie crust on a sheet pan and bake according to package instructions. Let cool.
Filling
Add room temperature butter and sugar to a large bowl. Cream them together at medium-high speed for 15-20 minutes until the sugar is not grainy.
Next, add the melted and cooled chocolate and vanilla. Mix to combine.
Then add eggs, 2 at a time. Beating 5 minutes after each addition.
Pour the mixture into pie crust. Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate chips, shaved chocolate or cocoa powder. Refrigerate overnight and enjoy!
